Random Updateooo!

These past few weeks have been pure busy busy! And while things have calmed down activities wise, I'm so behind on costume work for Amecon that I reckon I'll still be running around like a batshit crazy lady.

Firstly, I've passed my first year of University with a pretty good grade which makes me happy. I'm gonna be a second year student, woo! I had a very exciting last week of Uni. Two exams on the last week but then I got to see Feeder and Labrinth live! As well as set up the stage and club for the two gigs, and climbing a giant golf ball to rig up lights for a lake party... No more climbing heights until September for Fresher's Week haha!

Then saikouni-happy, Chris and Natalie came down to Somerset, including Taunton (where I live) to come visit Bahamut50 and I for a funtastic day out! It's always lovely seeing cosplay friends outside of conventions, you just can't spend enough time with people at a convention due to the sheer number! More people need to come visit the land of cows and sheep <3

Next up, Paris, Disneyland and Japan Expo with IssabellaMottman and Freyarule! What a trip. I think that deserves its own journal entry because so much had happened that trip. It was a rollercoaster of good and bad. Mainly the hotel and weather being the bad, but everything else good so that's okay!

After Paris, Freyarule stayed over for a week (went home yesterday!) for a cosplay-making filled week! Managed to get her Stocking and most of Fem!MC cosplays done. Started my Panty too but going to finish that off when my fabric shop restocks black fabric paint. T'was fun and we got to meet up with Bahamut50 again too!

I got to return to my secondary school during this time as well to play for an emotional concert. My music teacher back then was retiring and she got together a lot of her past students to come back and play/sing. I really loved it and got to speak to a lot of my old teachers and friends again! Although one teacher told me an A1 posted of my face in the water after falling in from windsurfing is still somewhere at the school, she said she still kept it as it was an "unforgettable moment"... Glad to know I will be remembered for my derp face 8D; She said I could claim it back, again, but I thought it'd be a bit weird to have my own face at that size on my wall so I thought it'd be more amusing to come back years later and still find it there XD;

About a month til Amecon, so much costume work to get done! It's not unusual but for the past few events I've been use to just having to make one new costume due to having to juggle with Uni work? Now I have... 5 new costumes... HELP ME! One is nearly done though, that is Just be Friends Luka. I have a ball costume, hurray! Trying to get my masquerade costume into good-progress mode which I'm sort of struggling with at the moment as I'm still making the petticoat, frickin' petticoat, why you take so long!? Then all my other costumes should be a piece of cake, note: should.

Then I can relax until University followed by October Expo and Hyper Japan! Nothing too complex planned for either events though, I'm hoping October Expo will be pretty relaxing. And Hyper Japan will be filled with pretty dresses and sparkly idoru outfits. I'll be back to one new outfit per event once University starts hence why my event schedules should be pretty easy going!

Hopefully sometime between now and Ame I should get back to post processing photos too... I know I still have some Kitacon and Hyper Japan photos which haven't been edited yet. Then I've got some I've taken from Japan Expo too D:

... Right after being excited about episode 2 of Sinbad. IT'S TONIGHT! I watched episode 1 earlier this morning as I was away last Sunday. Needless to say I am so excited for this series. I've also started watching "How to be a Gentlemen" every Monday... TV IS THE CAUSE OF MY PROCRASTINATION D:
