Trapped between two dimensions

I dunno what category to put this in...

I thought this was a pretty cool picture I took. I basically placed my dad's camera on the floor and I took a picture of it, then my dad took a picture of me holding my own camera as if I was about to take a picture of his camera and I put the two together to make this!

I'm going to paint this for my Art final piece, in 10hrs. SO LITTLE TIME! My theme is Structure, a very broad theme indeed which gave me many ideas! As soon as I was told to research an artist I became inspired by M.C. Escher's works and this idea popped into my head immediately. Personally I love the idea but it's damn hard to paint, I wish I did a pencil sketch instead, waaaay easier!

In my painting I have a pair of hands holding the camera, my photograph of that reference is sucky because I had to use flash making the screen of the camera shiny and hideous. Besides I think it looks more surreal without the hands, but my teacher says it would help to fill in the space. Little does he know that I've left almost no room for the hands on my canvas >D *sneaky*
